Giant red torch ginger Rhizomes

Giant Red Torch Ginger — one of the largest and most spectacular torch ginger varieties available. With its tall green foliage and striking blooms that emerge directly from the rhizome below the canopy, this is a true centrepiece plant for any tropical or subtropical garden.

The bright red, waxy flowers carry a distinct tropical fragrance and are exceptionally long-lasting — so prized they fetch high prices at local markets. Whether planted as a statement specimen or used to create a lush garden microclimate, the Giant Red Torch Ginger has to be one of my absolute favourites. 

Growing tips:

• Plant in rich, well-draining soil in a warm, sheltered position
• Thrives in full sun to partial shade
• Keep soil consistently moist — mulch well to retain moisture
• Ideal for creating tropical microclimates and privacy screens
